Lauding the role of teachers in transforming the state, Jammu and Kashmir government today awarded 48 teachers for devotion to their duties. Two of the teachers were given state awards and cash prize of one lakh rupees, while the rest received district awards and a case prize of 50,000 rupees. The State government has also assured the teachers that their service condition will be improved and the curriculum will be set up as per the modern lines.
