J&K : 4 killed in IAF chopper crash

In Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian Air Force chopper crashed near Assar in Doda district and plunged into river Chenab. According to SSP Doda Prabhat Singh all the four persons travelling in the chopper are feared dead. During the rescue operations body of Wing Commander Garg has been recovered so far. The search for the remaining three persons is on. The ill fated M-17 IAF chopper was said to be on its routine survey over the forest area when the pilot lost control due to some technical snag that might have occurred during the flight. While coming down , the chopper collided with the cable of the cable-car-line over the river and fell into it.
