<span style="color: black;">Three hundred students of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, nominated to attend various courses at the campus of Mewar University Chittorgarh, were sent off at a ceremony at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar yesterday. Lt Gen DP Pandey, GoC Chinar Corps was the Chief Guest on the occasion.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">The Defence Spokesperson Col Emron Musavi said that Indian Army in collaboration with Mewar University has endeavoured to provide quality education to the talented and under-priviledged youth of J&K through Sadhbhavna. He said Mewar University is providing a variety of graduation and diploma courses, ranging from B Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Computer Sciences, IT and Electronics & Communication etc.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">Lt Gen DP Pandey, on behalf of HQ Northern Command under Assistive Scholarship Programme handed-over a cheque of Rs. 2.5 crores to Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya, Chairman Mewar University, with an aim to empower the talented students of Jammu and Kashmir and mitigate the financial burden that may accrue on the families.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">The General while addressing the students encouraged them to utilize the opportunity and become productive citizens of the society. He also interacted with the past and present Kashmiri students of the University and urged them to further motivate the present batch to excel not only in studies but in other co-curricular activities as well.</span>
