In Jammu & Kashmir, three soldiers were killed and five others including two officers injured when terrorists ambushed an army convoy in Moolu Chitragam area of Shopian district last night.<br/><br/>A senior police official told AIR that a cordon and search operation was launched by Army and State Police in Kungnoo village of south Kashmir's Shopian district on the basis of a tip off about the presence of terrorists. However, the operation concluded without any arrest or recovery.<br/><br/>Security sources said while returning from Kungnoo, the security forces party was attacked by terrorists at Muloo Chitragam at about 2 A.M resulting in injuries to at least eight army personnel including two officers. Three personnel later succumbed to their injuries.<br/><br/>One woman hit by a stray bullet in the cross fire, also succumbed to her injuries. The remaining injured personnel were being treated at Army Hospital in Srinagar.<br/><br/>Militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen has owned responsibility for the previous midnight Moolu Chitragam Shopian attack.
