In Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists are holed up inside a residential house in the outskirts of Srinagar city as security forces tightened the cordon in Ahmadnagar locality.

According to Police, the ultras have been asked to surrender but they have refused the offer so far.They allowed the wife of the house owner to leave the building but have detained him inside.

A senior police officer said, the security forces have evacuated the civilians from nearby houses to avoid any collateral damage in case the terrorists do not surrender.

Police launched the operation yesterday following information about presence of terrorists in Ahmadnagar area. A brief exchange of firing took place between police and the ultras last evening, resulting in injuries to one cop.
