Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Dr Jitendra Singh and Minister of State for Home, Hansraj Ahir have discussed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir and reviewed the Amarnath Yatra Security Plan with the top leadership of state government and various security agencies.<br/><br/>The two Ministers visited the state yesterday on the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh following the terror attack on Amarnath Yatra pilgrims in Anantnag that left seven dead and 19 injured. The two Ministers held discussions with Governor NN Vohra, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and top officials of Civil, Army, police and other security and intelligence agencies.<br/><br/>Addressing a press conference in Srinagar today, Dr Singh applauded the unequivocal positive response of the people of the state in maintaining harmony in present circumstances. The Minister also said, militancy is in its last phase and it is going to outlive its life soon.<br/><br/>Mr Ahir appreciated the proactive role played by the Governor, Chief Minister and entire state government machinery at all levels. Both ministers reiterated their complete support to the state government for its endeavours to maintain peace and ensure a safe and secure Yatra.
