Jitendra Awhad demands immediate formulation of clear-cut Human Resource policy

Indian Pilots Guild president and NCP leader Jitendra Awhad today demanded immediate formulation of a clear-cut Human Resource policy to pave the way for a smooth workforce integration.

Referring to the merger of Indian Airlines with Air India, Awhad said as the merger process moves ahead, the differences between the two groups are bound to widen further. Awhad said that there are differences in the work culture and work policies and the management needs to formulate a clear-cut policy on the manpower integration, which has been pending for the past five years.

The strike called by Indian Pilots Guild, which entered the fifth day today, has crippled Air India's international operations with the cancellation of 16 flights.
