The Jharkhand Government has recommended a rank of Lieutenant Colonel in Territorial Army to the captain of Indian Cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The recommendation has been made by the state Chief Minister Arjun Munda to the Central Government and the Indian Army. Mr. Dhoni had earlier publicly expressed his desire to wear uniform of Indian Army. In another matter, government sources have told AIR Ranchi Correspondent that the state government has also taken decision clear all pending promotions of government servants within two months across all level, failing which the promotions of those responsible for sitting over the matter would be withheld.
