Geeta Koda, wife of former Chief Minister Madu Koda has won Jagannathpur assembly constituency. Two results have come in from Jharkhand. Another result has come in from Jharkhand. JVM (Prajatantrik) candidate Dulu Mahato has won Baghmara assembly seat. Laxman Giluwa of the BJP has been declared elected from Chakradharpur constituency, while JVM (Prajatantrik) candidate Arvind Kumar Singh has won the Ichagarh seat in the assembly poll. The state seems to be heading for hung assembly again. The resulsts and trends available so far from all 81 constituencies show that the Congress and its allies have won one seat and are leading in 20. The BJP has got one seat and is ahead in 22 others along with its alliance partners. The RJD alliance is far behind leading in seven and JMM which fought state election without any alliance is leading in 17. Others are leading 13. The Congress which had nine seats in the 2005 assembly polls seems to be making a marginal gain. Its ally Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) led by Babulal Marandi could turn out to be the major gainer. BJP, which had 30 seats in the outgoing assembly, appears to be losing 10 seats as the trends indicate. Its ally JD(U) which had 7 seats is leading in two. State BJP President and former Minister Raghubar Das is leading in Jamshadpur seat. Acting state PCC President Furkan Ansari is leading in Jamtara constituency. The Speaker of dissolved assembly Alamgir Alam of Congres, who was earlier leading is now trailing behind his nearest BJP rival in Pakur constituency. JMM candidate Simon Marandi was ahead of his Congress rival in Littipara while sitting RJD member Annapurna Devi was leading in Kodarma. Geeta Koda, wife of Madu is leading from Jagannathpur constituency. JVM candidate Chandrika Mahtha was leading in Jamua constituency while Sudha Choudhary of JD(U) was ahead in Chhattarpur constituency. In Chaibasa constituency, Deepak Birua of JMM who was earlier trailing is now leading. In Chakradharpur also, JMM candidate Sukhram Oran was trailing is now ahead of others.In Khunti constituency, Masih Charan Singh Munda of JMM was leading over his BJP rival.
