Jharkhand police would soon get two helicopters from Indian Air Force to carry out operation against the naxals in the state. This was decided in the meeting held at New Delhi on Wednesday by the state DGP with Union Home Ministry. According to the state DGP, Union Home Ministry has approved Rs.150 crores for 75 police station buildings in naxal affected areas, and had also approved appointment of 500 Special Police Officers (SPO). <br/><br/>In the meeting, it was also decided to constitute a core committee at the state level for development in the naxal affected areas. Jharkhand Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DGP, the concerned Major of Army, IG operation of state police and IG operation of the CRPF would be the members of the core committee.
