Jharkhand police launches campaign against human trafficking

Jharkhand police in association with Government of India has launched a renewed campaign against human trafficking and special forces have been deployed in the four worst affected districts of Ranchi, Khunti, Lohardagga and Dumka.IGP (Organised Crimes) Anurag Gupta told AIR News in Ranchi that state police have launched multi prong strategies to tackle the menace, which includes better interactions with the vulnerable sections of the population, setting of special women police stations in 22 different districts of the state and providing special training to police officers at Bhopal -specially for taking a sympathetic views in cases of sexual abuse of trafficked females.Meanwhile three victims of human trafficking were offered jobs in CRPF.
