In Jharkhand, the police arrested one Naxal area commander of JPC faction from Sadhu Kuti village in Garhwa district. Arms and ammunition has also been recovered from him. Police sources told AIR Ranchi correspondent that the arrested Naxal was wanted in many cases, including a famous case of 2001 in which the accused, in association with another area commander of CPI (Maoist) had killed a DSP Amlesh Kumar by triggering a landmine explosion.
