Today is the last day of Nominations for the first phase of Assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkhand.

Host of candidates will be filing their nominations in Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir today for assembly polls scheduled to be held on 25th November. In Jammu and Kashmir, security measures have been tightened further.

So far, 31 nominations papers have been filed for 15 Assembly seats of seven districts viz Toda, Kistwar, Bandipora, Gandharbal, Leh, Kargil and Ramban. Yesterday, nomination paper could be filed due to holdiay on account of Muharram.

In Jharkhand, so far 54 candidates have filed nomination for the 13 seats. All major parties have almost finalised their poll alliance and list of star campaigners.
