BJP Central Election Committee will meet in New Delhi this evening to finalize the list of party candidates for assembly elections in Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir. Both the states will go to polls in five phases beginning 25th of this month. The Committee will also discuss the names of BJP candidates for by-elections on three assembly seats in Delhi. The fifteen member election committee meeting will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party President Amit Shah and other senior leaders.

It is significant amid the talks of government formation in Delhi. Party sources said that BJP leadership will also deliberate on the political situation in the national capital during the meeting .
