Jharkhand Health Secretary instructs to intensify COVID vaccination drive

In Jharkhand, State Health Secretary KK Soan has instructed to intensify the COVID vaccination drive. Mr Soan has directed to increase the vaccination among the health and frontline workers. Presently only 86 percent of COVID vaccination among health workers and frontline workers has been achieved in the state.<br />''<br />''In wake of this direction, Mission Director Ravi Shankar Shukla has written a letter to all Deputy Commissioners of the districts to convert all Primary Health Centers, Community Health Centers and private hospitals empaneled under CGHS scheme to COVID vaccination Centers for utilisation under the COVID vaccination drive.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, there has been an upsurge in the number of COVID cases in the state in the last 15 days which has become a matter of concern for the State Health Department. Presently there are 548 active cases while one lakh 18 thousand 987 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.<br />
