Jharkhand seems to be heading for hung assembly again. Trends available so far from all 81 constituencies show that the Congress and its allies are leading in 27 constituencies and BJP alliance 20. RJD alliance is far behind leading in eight and JMM which fought state election without any alliance was leading in 16. Others are leading 10.The Congress which had nine seats in the 2005 assembly polls seems to be making a marginal game with lead in 15 seats. Its ally Jharkhand Vikas Morch (Prajatantrik) led by Babulal Marandi could turn out to be the major gainer as the party is leading in 10 seats. BJP, which had 30 seats in the outgoing assembly, appears to be losing 10 seats as the trends indicate. Its ally JD(U) which had 6 seats is trailing everywhere.State BJP President and former Minister Raghubar Das is leading in Jamshadpur seat. Acting state PCC President Furkan Ansari is leading in Jamtara constituency. The Speaker of dissolved assembly Alamgir Alam of Congress is leading over his nearest BJP rival in Pakur constituency. JMM candidate Simon Marandi was ahead of his Congress rival in Littipara while sitting RJD member Annapurna Devi was leading in Kodarma. Geeta Koda, wife of Madu Koda, who contested as an independent candidate, is leading from Jagannathpur constituency.JVM candidate Chandrika Mahtha was leading in Jamua constituency while Sudha Choudhary of JD(U) was ahead in Chhattarpur constituency.
