Jharkhand HC orders State govt to continue anti encroachment drive

Jharkhand High Court has refused to admit a petition by the state government to allow the government to halt the ongoing anti-encroachment drive in the state for three weeks. The state said it wants to evolve a rehabilitation policy.Rejecting the petition, the Bench comprising Chief Justice Bhagwati Prasad and Justice P C Takia ordered the government to continue with the anti encroachment drive in the state. The court asked the state government to file an affidavit in the next hearing listing the details of compliance with the High Court Order. The next hearing will take place after three weeks.
