The Jharkhand High Court yesterday ordered a CBI probe into Rs. 4000 crore assets of former Chief Minister and present MP from Lok Sabha Madhu Koda and his seven former Ministers. Mr. Koda is now attending monsoon session of Parliament under police custody as he is under jail arrest in connection with disproportionate assets case lodged against him by the state vigilance bureau. The other ex- Ministers in Madhu Koda Government, who will be facing the CBI inquiry are – Kamlesh Kumar Singh, Harinarayan Rai, Enos Ekka, Bandhu Tirky, Bhanu Pratap Sahi, Dulal Bhuyian, and Chandraprakash Chaudhiri.. Among these Mr. Singh, Mr. Ekka and Mr. Rai are in jail now.A Division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Sushil Harkauli and Justice D. N. Patel passed this order on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by an activist Durga Oraon.
