In Jharkhand, Finance Minister Dr Rameshwar Oraon today presented the budget for the year 2021-22 in the State Assembly at Ranchi. <br />''<br />''Dr Oraon presented the State Budget with a total outlay of 91 thousand 277 crore rupees, with an increase of over 7,100 crore rupees in comparison to last year's budget. A provision of Rs 1200 crore has been made in the Budget for waiving off farmers' loans. <br />''<br />''The breakup of budget includes a revenue expenditure of Rs. 75755.01 crore and Capital Expenditure of Rs 15521.99 crores.<br />'' <br />'' Delivering his budget speech, Dr Oraon announced the record allocation of Rs 18653 crore rupees has been made for rural Development, agriculture, animal husbandry and water resources. A maximum allocation of 14.52 percent of the Annual Budget for Education department has been made followed by 14.16 percent to Rural Development and 8.55 percent to Health and Family Welfare.<br />''<br />''While presenting the budget in the state Assembly he said that the budget aims to achieve excellence in generating employment opportunities in rural areas. <br />''<br />''The Finance Minister said that the honorarium of MNREGA workers has been increased and fixed at two hundred and twenty five rupees in the budget.<br />''<br />'' Finance Minister also announced a provision has also been made in the budget for better education for the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste students of the state by opening of new State Tribal University. <br />''<br />''Dr Oraon said that Jharkhand is now coming out from the COVID-19 pandemic following the rollout of vaccination drive under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. <br />''<br />''He mentioned that the State has achieved 98.70 percent recovery in COVID 19 cases. <br />''<br />''He said that despite the Covid pandemic, this year's budget is almost 11 percent more than previous fiscal year and is focussed upon ongoing and long term development of the people the state.
