Jharkhand: District Special Court sentences Lalu Prasad Yadav for one and half months' imprisonment in connection with model code of conduct violation case of 2009

<span style="color: #222222;">In Jharkhand, District Special Court Magistrate Satish Kumar Munda today sentenced RJD supremo and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav for one and a half months' imprisonment and imposed a fine of six thousand rupees in connection with a model code of conduct violation case of 2009.<br />''<br />''Lalu Yadav was accused of landing a helicopter in the school grounds of Garhwa Govind High School without permission for conducting a party meeting of Rashtriya Janata Dal, violating the model code of conduct. An FIR against Lalu Prasad Yadav was lodged by then Block Development Officer of Garhwa district Subhash Singh in the year 2009.<br />''<br />''In this case, Lalu Prasad Yadav accepted his guilt in court today. Mr Yadav has already served one and a half month's sentence in this case. RJD Supremo today deposited the fine amount of Rs 6000 in court.</span><br />
