Jharkhand is distributing 70 thousand quintals of wheat seeds this year, whereas last year the state had distributed 14 thousand quintals. To help the farmers, the state government is also supplying 50 power tillers to each block.This was announced by the state Agriculture Secretary, A K Singh in a workshop at Ranchi.Mr. Singh also urged the farmers to adopt organic fertilizers and the farm mechanization.Many government officers and farmers spoke in the workshop.The DGM of NABARD, M G Patil said in his speech that 11 lakh Kisan credit cards had already been issued in the state.
