In Jharkhand, the intensified testing and tracking campaign carried out for COVID-19 cases has led to a sudden rise in the number of positive cases detected in the State. One thousand 925 Corona positive cases were confirmed yesterday taking the total count of active COVID-19 cases in the state to 10,604, while 17 people also lost their lives due to the viral infection. <br />'' <br />'' AIR Correspondent reports, in a new order issued by the State Home, Prisons and Disaster Management department, nodal officers have been appointed for each district to monitor the intensified testing and Vaccination drive carried out in the state. <br />'' <br />'' The State Health and Disaster Management department has increased the testing and tracking of COVID-19 cases in the State. Ranchi district alone accounts for nearly 50 percent of the total active COVID-19 cases in the state. <br />'' <br />'' The nodal officers appointed for each district have been assigned to control and check the spread of the viral infection at a localised level after neighbouring state Chattisgarh witnesses a sudden surge in COVID-19 cases.
