Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren wins confidence motion by 19 votes in the Assembly. 45 votes were in favour and 26 against the trust motion. 45 MLAs include 18 from JMM, 17 of BJP, 5 of All Jharkhand Students Union, two from JDU and three independents. Five members of RJD walked out. Earlier, moving the resolution, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Raghuvar Das said, people of the state has voted for a coalition government. Opposing the move, leader of Congress Party Rajendra Prasad Singh said that the government, which has been formed with the support of BJP, AJSU, JMM and independents, is an opportunistic alliance and should not be given the vote of confidence.
