The BJP today said that it will formally withdraw support to the Jharkhand government today. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters in New Delhi, the party spokesman, Mr. Gopinath Munde said that a letter of withdrawal of support will be submitted to the Governor this evening. The BJP Parliamentary Board had announced its decision to withdraw support to the JMM government in Jharkhand after the Chief Minister, Mr. Shibu Soren voted against the Cut motions moved by the BJP in the Lok Sabha on budgetary demands for grants. Mr Munde said that the party will decide on the future strategy after formally withdrawing the support. <br/><br/>Earlier, sources had indicated that the party could have a rethink in the matter if the JMM agreed on replacing Mr. Soren with the BJP candidate for the Chiefministership.<br/> <br/>Mr Munde also informed the media that Shibu Soren has sent a letter to the BJP President apologising for having voted against the BJP's cut motions in Lok Sabha. He said Mr Soren also thanked the party for their support.
