The Jharkhand Assembly unanimously passed a resolution seeking a separate code for Adivasis. The resolution, which was passed yesterday, demanded provisions for a separate Adivasi/Sarna religious code for inclusion in the census register.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''After passage of the resolution, Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, said&nbsp; the religious code will enable to&nbsp; give an exact number of tribal communities, help document their population, preserve tribal languages, culture and history and help them avail their constitutional rights.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The main aim of this resolution is to address the concerns of the tribal population, which is declining after every census. It was 38.03% in 1031, which came down to 26.02% in 2011. The rate of population growth of the tribes too was low compared to the growth of other communities in the successive census.</span><br />
