Assembly election in Jharkhand have been announced. The elections will be held in five phases. The first phase will be held on the 27th of next month, the second phase on the 2nd of December, the third phase 8th December, fourth on 12th of December, and the fifth and the final phase on the 18th of December. The counting will be held on the 23rd of December. Announcing this, the Chief Election Commissioner Navin Chawla said that the model code of conduct comes into effect immediately. <br/>AIR correspondent reports that Jharkhand was placed under President's rule on the 19th of January this year and its Assembly was placed under suspended animation. <br/>
