Jharkhand announces new rehabilitation policy

Jharkhand government has announced a new rehabilitation policy for those affected by the ongoing anti-encroachment drive of the Arjun Munda government. As per the provisions of the new policy, 8,000 families coming under the BPL category and displaced during the ongoing anti-encroachment drive will be provided with 250 square feet built in flats in the first phase. The policy also envisages setting up temporary tent-settlements for providing immediate relief to the large number of people displaced because of the anti-encroachment drive.
