In Jharkhand, 11 convicts have been sentenced to life imprisonment by a local court in Dumka in connection with a gang rape case. They have been also fined with twenty thousand rupees each. Thus, the total fine of rupees two lakhs 97 thousands will be given to the victims of the gang rape case.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''The incident took place on 6th September 2017 at a lonely place in Diggi in Dumka district where 19 years old girl was held hostage and gangraped by the convicts. Two days later 16 suspects  were arrested and 11 of the 16 were convicted and sentenced after a speedy trial. </span>
