Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan books his first ever SF berth in an ATP Challenger tennis tournament

India's Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan has booked his first ever semifinal berth in an ATP Challenger tennis tournament. He did so at Karshi, Uzbekistan, today by recording a 6-3, 6-2 win over Mikhail Ledovskkih of Russia. The unseeded left-handed player from Tamil Nadu clinched the match in just 49 minutes. Jeevan is the lone Indian surviving in the 50,000 US dollar event. Davis Cupper Saketh Myneni lost both his singles and doubles matches while Divij Sharan's campaign alsoended in the doubles with partner Liang-Chi Huang. Myneni lost his singles quarterfinals 1-6 2-6 to NikolozBasilashvili, and then with partner James Cluskey helost doubles semifinal to Sergey Betov and Alexander Bury. Divij Sharan and Huang, seeded fourth, lost 3-6 3-6 to Mao-Sin Gong and Hsien-Yi Peng in their semifinal.
