The JD(U) has requested the President Pranab Mukherjee not to give his consent to the Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime Bill,2015 which has been passed by the Gujarat Assembly. <br/><br/>In a letter to Mr Mukherjee, party General Secretary, K C Tyagi has alleged that the Bill empowers law enforcing authorities to intercept and records phone calls. He also said, the Bill is against the democracy. Mr Tyagi said that there are about half a dozen laws are in effect which are enough to tackle terrorism.
