Janata Dal (United), RJD and Congress today approached Election Commission over the alleged distribution of sarees and T- shirts by the BJP to woo voters in Bihar ahead of state assembly polls. A delegation of leaders of the parties led by JD(U) Chief Sharad Yadav met Chief Election Commissioner in New Delhi and alleged that the clothes of around 250 crore rupees have been brought from Surat to Bihar for distribution among the voters. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters after the meeting, Sharad Yadav accused the BJP of bribing voters and demanded steps to curb such practices. Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said the delegation urged the Commission to take action against the BJP. He said the poll body has assured to conduct investigation into the matter and proper action. Leaders of NCP and INLD were also part of the delegation.
