JD(U) demands resignation of Food Minister and Agriculture Minister for current steep rise in prices of pulses

JD(U) has demanded the resignation of Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan and Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh for the current steep rise in the prices of pulses. Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, party spokesperson K C Tyagi alleged that instead of taking strong measures to control the prices, both the ministers are busy in poll campaign in Bihar for the last two months. He accused them of misleading the people by making statements that state government is responsible for price rise. Mr. Tyagi said prices are high not only in Bihar but across the country including the BJP ruled states and centre is responsible for it.

Accusing the NDA government of being anti-farmer, the JD (U) leader said it has also not been able to fulfill its promise of Minimum Support Price plus fifty percent profit to farmers on their produce. He said in the remaining three phases of Bihar Assembly elections, price rise is the core issue and people will give befitting reply to the BJP.
