JD(U) has accused the central government of failing to curb the steep rise in the prices of pulses. In a statement, party spokesperson K C Tyagi said the BJP had advocated to rein in hoarders and black marketers in the Lok Sabha elections campaign, but it has not taken any action against them. Mr. Tyagi said the BJP has also not been able to fulfill its promise of Minimum Support Price plus fifty percent profit to farmers on their produce.
