The Janata Dal (United) today expressed deep concern and dissatisfaction over the failure of the UPA II government in containing price rise, naxalism and corruption at high places.The Party in its two day National Executive, begining in New Delhi, recommended an all party meeting to find political solution to the present situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The National Executive of the party, which was chaired by party Chief Sharad Yadav and attended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar passed five resolutions on Political, Foreign Policy, Corruption in High Positions, Centre-State Relations and Performance of party government in Bihar. Briefing reporters, the Party General Secretary, K.C Tyagi, criticized the naxal violence, but stressed the need of addressing the problem with socio-economic outlook instead of brutal police force or use of military. He said that party demands for Caste Census to find scientific database of the oppressed communities in the country.The JD (U) also reiterated its demand from the government to disclose the real data of the BPL to make institutional strategy for their upliftment and set up a Poverty Assessment Commission.
