JD (U) appeals BJP to drop flag hoisting plan in J & K

The JD (U) on Monday made a fresh appeal to ally BJP today to drop its plan to hoist the national flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, JD (U) President Sharad Yadav said that issues related to Jammu and Kashmir are sensitive and this should be kept in mind. The JD-U chief who is also the convener of NDA, had earlier also objected the plan to hoist the national flag at Lal Chowk immediately after BJP had announced it.He said, there is peace in the Valley which has arrived due to the diligent efforts of people there and steps should be taken at this time to strengthen that peace instead of doing anything which hampers it.
