Jayalalithaa released from jail

The AIADMK supremo J Jayalalitha was released from Bangalore central jail Saturday afternoon after 21 days of imprisonment.

The granting of bail given by the Supreme Court in the disproportionate case of the former chief minister has given a relief to her party.

Though the AIADMK Supremo has to face a long legal battle further in her political history, it would be a challenge for her to gave the assembly elections which are two years away.

Political experts say that in the next two months, Jayalalithaa has to work out a clear cut strategy for the appeal in the case in which she has been convicted and awarded four years imprisonment.

AIR correspondent reports, all this apart, it was dhamaka for thousands of AIADMK cadres all over the state.

State minister T.M.K. Chinniah and advisors to the state government mrs. Sheila Balakrishnan were among those MPs, MLA's and party officials who were asking those who welcomed her at the Chennai airport.

It took two hours for Ms. Jayalalitha'a convoy to reach the poes garden. Emotions ran high among the party cadres.

Who lined up from the airport waiting to get a glimpse of their favorite leader.

Excites say that political time clock points the needle towards the AIADMK cited to ponder over her next move in the case.
