The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Ms. J.Jayalalithaa has made massive reshuffle of senior bureaucrats and police officials. According to the press release issued by the State Government, Mr. Debendranath Sarangi will be the new Chief Secretary in place of Ms. Malathi. Ms. Sheela Rani Chunkath has been appointed the new Home Secretary in place of K Gnanadesikan while Mr. J.K.Tripathy will be the new Chennai Police Commissioner in place of Mr. Rajendran. Ms. Jayalalithaa after assuming charge at Fort St.George on Monday, signed seven files relating to implementation of several welfare schemes which had taken place in the AIADMK’s manifesto. It is for the first time that the ration card holders of Tamil Nadu, will be given 20 kilos of rice free of cost.
