The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Ms. J Jayalalithaa today held a meeting with the Ministers and top officials of the State to immediately take steps to tackle the situation arising out of continuous rain for the past two days. The Regional Met department has predicted isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall with strong onshore winds from Northeasterly to Northerly direction speed along and off North Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coast. With the low pressure continuing in the same place in the Bay of Bengal rain continued to lash for the past two days disrupting normal life.
