The Tamilnadu Chief Minister Ms.J.Jayalalithaa has announced an ex-gratia of Rs.five lakh to the family of the Indian Fisherman Sekar who was killed in the Dubai Seas yesterday. Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, the Chief Minister said in a statement announced a compensation of Rs. 50 thousand each to the families of Muthukannan, Muthumaniraj and Panduvanathan who were injured . In a letter to Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh, Ms.Jayalalithaa has requested centre to take up the matter with the US Government and Dubai for a detailed enquiry into the incident. Meanwhile DMDK President Vijayakant,MDMK leader Mr.Vaiko have appealed to the Centre to take necessary steps to render justice to the innocent fishermen who were affected in the incident.
