Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha announced solatium of two Lakhs rupees to the families of 26 persons who perished in the Cyclone. An Official release said Chief Minister is Grieved over the death of 21 persons in Cuddalore district and two each in Villupuram, Thiruvellore and one in Chennai.
