Extending an arm of friendship towards Pakistan, the government run Jayadeva Hospital in Bangalore has conducted free heart surgery on two Pakistani children. The children are from the Sindh province of Pakistan. Speaking to media persons, the Director of the Institute Dr. C N Manjunath said that if the treatment was delayed then they would not have survived. He said the cost of each operation was 90,000 rupees which was partial paid by an NGO and another part borne by the Hospital. The parents of the children who underwent surgery thanked the Indian doctors for conducting such complex surgery, without which the children would not have survived.
