AIADMK Chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today revoked the suspension of her estranged close-aide Sasikala from the primary membership of the party. In a statement in Chennai, Jayalalithaa said she had accepted the explanation given by Ms Sasikala and the disciplinary action initiated against her was cancelled.Jayalalithaa had on December 19 expelled Sasikala and her family members and relatives from the primary membership of the party for allegedly interfering in the day-to-day affairs of the Government.Meanwhile, Jayalalithaa has urged the Prime Minister to allot the entire power generated from the Kudankulam nuclear power plant to the state.In a letter to Dr Manmohan Singh, she said of the 2000 MW of power to be generated by the two units in Kudankulam, the state has been allotted only 925 MW. The CM said the demand was justifiable as the state is facing severe power crisis.Pointing that the state had requested for allocation of 1000 MW from the central pool, Jayalalithaa said only 100 MW had been allotted to the state. The Chief Minister urged the Prime Minister to positively consider the request and said the state requires and deserves the entire power generated by the Kudankulam plant.
