Chief Executive Officer of Prasar Bharati Jawhar Sircar has underlined the need for generating more revenues to improve the financial conditions of All India Radio and Doordarshan. He was speaking at a function in New Delhi organised to felicitate outstanding commercial revenue achievers during last fiscal . <br/><br/>Mr Sircar appealed to the officials and staff to explore innovative ideas to generate more revenues. He said, use of electronic devices and new technology can help garner more revenues.<br/><br/>Mr Sircar also awarded the revenue achievers of All India Radio and Doordarshan. As many as 93 staff of both the organisations were honoured for their contribution in revenue generation. <br/><br/>All India Radio has exceeded the target by six hundred crore rupees than the set target of 450 crore rupees. On the occassion, Director General AIR, F Sheheryar, Director General Doordarshan Aparna Vaish and senior officials of Prasar Bharati were also present.
