Jawan injured in cross-border shelling by Pakistan dies

An army jawan, who was injured in cross-border shelling by Pakistan on February 4, died at a military hospital in Udhamur district of Jammu and Kashmir today. <br/><br/>Gunner Kishore Kumar Munna, a resident of Barmaha village of Chautham in Bihar, had suffered splinter injuries in Pakistani shelling along LOC in Shahpur sector of Poonch district. <br/><br/>An army officer said, he was taken to the command military hospital at Udhampur for specialised treatment. He said, after battling for life for a week at the hospital, the jawan breathed his last today.<br/><br/>The army officer said, a ceremonial farewell with full military honours will take place tomorrow at Nagrota in Jammu district. After this, the mortal remains of the jawan will be taken to Patna in an aircraft and then to his home town via road on February 13.
