Mr. Jawahar Thakur, a 1979-batch Indian Civil Accounts Service officer, has taken over as Controller General of Accounts, CGA, from the 1st of this month. According to an official release, Mr Thakur has taken several initiatives in the area of development of an effective financial management information system.
