Javdekar emphasizes importance of quality education

Union HRD Minister Prakash Javdekar has emphasized the need to ensure learning outcome for primary schools students before promoting them to next higher classes.<br/><br/> Speaking on the golden Jubliee celebeation of Lal Bahadur Shashtri Shiksha Seva Niketan at Manda in Allahabad district today, the HRD minister stressed the importance of quality education. He said, the matter related to CBSE class tenth examination will be finalised soon but any change in the system will be effective from 2017-18, next academic session. <br/><br/>He said, government is working on the policy of education must be accessible to all but with Quality. Referring the issue of no exam system under SSA in Primariy classes, Mr Javdekar said, no exam doesn't means that no learning of students. He said, recently state education ministers, who met in Delhi, agreed for learning outcome parameters or exam system.<br/><br/> The Minister said, necessary amendments are being introduced to decide parameters for learning outcome for primary schools. He said, proposals will be placed before the cabinet for necessary approvals. He said, higher education must focus on research and innovation and government is working to strengthen the research and innovation activities in higher education institutions. Replying to a question, Mr Javdekar said, government is aware about vacancies of head of institutions and universities and process is on to fill the vacancies.
