Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar has described the FICCI building fire mishap as unfortunate and ordered a safety audit of all museums under his ministry. Visiting the FICCI building in New Delhi today, Mr. Javadekar said this is a rented property. Its not the Ministry's property, but a FICCI property. <br/><br/>He said, this is a real loss and we will assess the loss when the building is again handed over to us. There are around 34 museums under the Ministry including ones of ZSI Zoological Survey of India and Botanical Survey of India. Established in 1972, the National Museum of Natural History in New Delhi is one of two museums focusing on nature in India. <br/><br/>An early hour massive blaze engulfed the building destroying National Museum of Natural History and leaving six firemen injured. Police said, the fire erupted at the top floor of the building and soon spread down to other floors. <br/><br/>About 40 fire tenders were rushed to douse the blaze, which was controlled after about four hours. Injured firemen have been admitted to RML hospital in New Delhi. Their condition is stable now. No loss of life has been reported. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
