Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar today expressed concern over the deteriorating air quality in the national capital Delhi. Mr Javadekar told reporters outside Parliament that the government is taking several steps to improve air quality as well as in touch with several agencies who can help in this regard. The Minister said there is a reduction in number of vehicles passing through Delhi. <br/><br/>Terming pollution as global problem, Mr Javadekar asked people in the cities to keep a check on their vehicles. He also asked them to use public transport and e-rickshaws to bring down pollution levels. Mr Javadekar said, emphasis is being laid on constructing roads and bypass to decrease the number of heavy vehicles coming to Delhi. Replying to a query on the on-going Climate Change Summit in Paris, the Minister said India will put its agenda strongly and recommend reduction in carbon emissions.
