Union Minister of State for Environment, Prakash Javadekar has called for world unity to face the challenges of climate change.<br/><br/>He was speaking in the concluding session of the 142nd Vasant Vyakhyanmala [Spring Lecture Series] in Pune last night.<br/><br/>Javadekar exuded confidence that pressure of the prevailing situation and universal efforts will certainly find a way in this regard.<br/><br/>He said that the US and European countries are responsible for the world climate change and developing countries like India are paying for it.<br/><br/>India has taken significant steps towards reducing carbon emission; Javadekar claimed and informed that 40 per cent of the electricity required for the country will be produced through non-conventional energy resources by 2030.
