In view of World Environment Day, Union Minister for Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Mr. Prakash Javadekar today called for a need to focus on species which are about to become extinct. He was speaking at function organized at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai. He said that the government is determined to rehabilitate the near extinct species of vultures within the next 10 years and try to reach a respectable figure.<br/><br/>Mr. Javdekar said that the government is planning to take support from America for technical usage specially in forest areas, PM will sign an MoU with America in this regard.<br/><br/>Also the ministry plans to increase urban forest, and save forest land and plant trees. Mr. Javadekar informed that in 200 cities the ministry has planned for forestation.<br/><br/>Focussing on the theme for the World Environment Day 2016 which is 'Go Wild for Life': Zero Tolerance For Illegal Wildlife Trade', Mr. Javadekar said, to support common cause to save animals, one should refrain from use of animal products or animal skin.<br/><br/>Also present at the event were BJP MP Mr. Gopal Shetty, Shiv Sena MLA, Mr. Prakash Surve and Maharashtra State Forest Secretary, Vikas Kharghe.
